I'm a design technologist based in Vlaardingen, near Rotterdam. I studied industrial design engineering with a master's in interaction design. I realized technology should adapt to people, not the other way around. Making technology accessible rather than expecting people to adapt became the direction I wanted to pursue.
I started my career at a company where I worked on everything: design, front-end development, organizational strategy, ways of working. That breadth stuck. I like the broad perspective, understanding how things connect, while staying grounded in creativity and user-centered design.
I'm analytical and a generalist, which means I can create order in most situations and decide what's important. Over the years I have learned about a wide range of tools I can use to test ideas or visualize concepts. I like to work iteratively and to learn through experimentation. I'm a strong believer in co-creation and the creativity of the collective.
Lately I've been using LLM tools extensively in my work. They've made me more productive and enabled me to do things I couldn't do before.
When I'm not working, I'm usually cycling or building side projects like Woordjeswolk.nl, Buitel.nl, and Sleutelstation.
